Williams is getting treatment after a second injury to the same hamstring in less than a month. He started but played only seven minutes and totaled four points, one rebound and two steals before exiting Game 2 with left hamstring tightness on Wednesday, when the host Thunder beat the San Antonio Spurs 122-113 to even the best-of-seven series.
He recorded 26 points, seven rebounds and three assists in 37 minutes in Game 1 on Monday, when the visiting Spurs downed the host Thunder 122-115 in double overtime. He had missed the previous six playoff games due to a Grade 1 left hamstring strain.
Williams, 25, traveled with the Thunder on Thursday for Game 3 on Friday in San Antonio. He is expected to be listed as questionable when the injury report for the game is released, ESPN reported.
After playing the first two games of a first-round series sweep against the Phoenix Suns, Williams did not play in any of the four games during the Thunder's sweep over the Los Angeles Lakers.
Williams, who was an All-Star in 2025, averaged 17.1 points with 4.6 rebounds and 5.5 assists in 33 games (all starts) in the regular season after undergoing right wrist surgery in the offseason and sitting out the first 19 contests. He later dealt with a right hamstring strain during the regular season.
In 37 career playoff games, Williams has averaged 20.3 points with 5.7 rebounds and 4.8 assists. He scored 40 points in Game 5 of the 2025 NBA Finals against the Indiana Pacers as the Thunder won the title in a seven-game series.
